ATR's brief was to undertake and deliver a thorough origin and destination survey, with screenlines, in the town of Downpatrick, Northern Ireland.
Working in partnership with a large Multi-national contractor ATR helped to design a survey specification that focused on precise and detailed traffic patterns out of, into, and through the town.
Through continual communication with our client, we were able to share perspectives on our respective methods of analysing data, meaning both our client and ATR were able to gain insight from the symbiotic relationship that we share.
Working closely with our client’s traffic modellers, we were able to provide extremely specific data, returned in reports customised to best present the quality data supplied.
A further challenge with working far from our locality is that of remaining financially competitive while paying exponentially growing costs. By getting the perspective, and reassurance, of our experienced video technicians, we were able to utilise staff with key ANPR skills; and so have the confidence to scale back on ancillary staff; a saving we were able to reflect in our quote.
