Radar Counters

Radar counters can be installed to provide link-counts by beaming a magnetic field across the path of traffic on any road. The classification and speed of vehicles is determined by how long the beam is disrupted, and by what scale. Radar counters can be particularly useful as an alternative to tube counters as they do not need any installation in the carriageway itself, and can therefore be easily installed on roads that would otherwise require prohibitively expensive traffic management.
